Twin Cities Barbell Spring Showdown V was another massively successful meet! This was our 16th meet we have put on, and the 14th at the Inver Grove Heights National Guard Armory. Two full flights, with 13 multiply lifters.
2 hours to set up Friday night, meet started at 9:05 Saturday and awards were done at about 3pm. All back to TCBB by 4:30. Yowzers.
Men money winners were:
Jacob Anderson 1st with an 1868 total at age 23 and CR at 208 bodyweight
Eric Hundahl 2nd with a 1824 total CR and a 722 lb deadlift at 273 bodyweight tested
Jayden Rose 3rd in his 3rd meet ever 1543 total raw-raw at 233 bodyweight tested, and 4 state records
Note 5 of the next 6 placings were multiply!
Women money winners were:
Julene Hurley 1st with a 1388 total at 142 bodyweight multiply a Pro’s Pro for sure
Rita Carlsson, 2nd her first meet after a stroke, still battling at age 73 in multiply gear
Jaclyn Deloye 3rd in here first ever PL meet goes 8 for 9 raw-raw
It takes a small army of gym member and friends to put on a meet of this quality, I think this year we set a record for number of people in red TCBB shirts. Debbie and I are truly blessed to have this many members,friends, and friends of TCBB that are willing to give back to the sport we love.
