Twin Cities Barbell hosted Spring Showdown 2025, our 14th meet we have put on. The last 12 have been at the
Inver Grove Heights Community center and Army National Guard facility. The meet was smaller this year as we
were the end of the spring meets lineup due to facility availability, but overall one of the best quality of lifters we
have had, including 3 WPO competitors Results were:
Women:
1st Julene Hurley $1500 – WPO competitor
2nd Rita Carlsson $1000 – ageless lifter at 73
3rd Belinda Clary $500 – WPO competitor
Men:
1st Mike Taylor $1500 – 100+ meets in his career
2nd Will Griffin $1000 – his first PL meet ever
3rd Tom McNiell – $500 first time at our meet
