Why Join The APO?

The American Powerlifting Organization was born out of the need to fill a clear void in the Powerlifting landscape.  A functional, transparent organization with the highest quality of judging consistency and meet competitions, that truly is “for the lifter”, not in existence for the continuance of the federation.

WHAT SETS THE APO APART?

These concepts are reflected in our Vision, Mission, and Core Values.  All of these set the stage for a superlative lifter experience, in a Federation where our lifters can be proud to be a member.

ACTUAL POWERLIFTING VS. INTERNET POWERLIFTING

There is Internet Powerlifting. A hate filled, jealous, rumor spreading, tear each other down and try to ruin one another sport where any opportunity to spew hate and make one another look bad is jumped on with a fervor.

Then there is Actual Live Powerlifting. Where your closest competitor is rooting for you to get a lift so he’s got motivation to go out and beat it. Where he’ll lend you his wraps if you’ve forgotten yours. Where people bond together because they know the line you walk when you take that platform makes you feel alive in a special way, and normal people will never know that feeling.

If you are an Internet Fan, this sport sucks. If you actually compete, there is nothing like it in the world.
